Ait Bayoud Water Project, Morocco, 2019

Columbia University Engineers Without Borders Chapter

Columbia University Engineers Without Borders Chapter is a student organization dedicated to helping others. The team of students have volunteered countless hours to design and create a water system that will provide potable water for over 120 impoverished people living in the isolated village of Ilguiloda. After four years of planning and preparation, this summer's team is implementing the project that consists of digging and laying 3 km of pipe, constructing a reinforced concrete tank as well as a solar rack that together enable water to pump into the village for over a hundred years.
